Legal Innovators UK 4.0

Legal Innovators is for everyone who wants to learn, to share, and meet their peers. It’s for people just starting to explore this area, as well as for those who are already very experienced but want to know what is now ‘market standard’ in this rapidly changing field.

An example of some of the topics that will be explored on the day by our fantastic group of experts includes:

Disaggregating the Law – getting the right people and tech to do the right things.

Beyond Contract Management – using contract data to drive business insights.

Inhouse Economics – how legal spend pressure is changing working practices.

TechBBQ – Copenhagen

TechBBQ started as a small BBQ gathering for tech enthusiasts and entrepreneurs back in 2013. Over the years, we have transformed into the largest and most ‘hyggelig’ event of its kind in Scandinavia. Every year we welcome more & more people from around the globe.

Our annual summit connects tech & hygge – where we talk about the latest trends, network in a cozy atmosphere, listen to trendsetting & inspiring speakers and enjoy some good old-fashioned BBQ. This year, on September 13-14, we are hosting our 11th event!

Alongside our annual event, we are also involved in a wide range of projects that help grow the local ecosystem. These include Startup Capital – an online startup-investor matchmaking event; Impact Series, which promotes green & impact entrepreneurship; the Founder Wellbeing Project, focused on mental health; StartupDen[t], an easily accessible overview of all Danish startups aimed at increasing investment in the Danish ecosystem; and the Bridging the Gap project, which promotes the life-science ecosystem. We also contribute to other events in the ecosystem and are, for example, co-organizing an event with Rainmaking around the topic of UrbanTech.

TechBBQ’s main goal is to support and strengthen the Nordic ecosystem. We foster growth for startups and scaleups. With us, it’s grilling season all year round!

Nordic Legal Tech Day 2023 – Copenhagen, Denmark

In 2020, the Nordic countries joined forces in creating Nordic Legal Tech Day. With four separate events in four cities (Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen and Oslo), but one common strategy and groundwork, the next Nordic Legal Tech Day(s) will be bigger and better than ever.

Nordic Legal Tech Day in Copenhagen is a forum for corporate legal teams, legal service providers and legal tech companies to meet and share experiences and get updated on the development of legal tech, tools and practices – thus the new ways of working in the legal profession. The interactive agenda is featuring experienced international and Nordic speakers – case presentations on practical experiences & tech presentations on tools.

Legal Tech Firetalk – by Nordic Legal Tech and ClauseBase

ClauseBase is run by three former lawyers and in-house legal counsels with years of experience in drafting legal documents. In their previous lives, they were repeatedly confronted with the expensive, repetitive, and time-consuming nature of drafting contracts and they were not happy with existing solutions. In 2018, they launched ClauseBase, a paradigm shift in contract drafting to make life better for anyone drafting legal documents (not just lawyers). In the meantime, they have also launched ClauseBuddy, a Word plugin that makes it easy to share knowledge between drafters of legal documents.

The topic of the Firetalk

“How can law firms stand out from the others in the rapidly commoditizing legal world”?

Is it possible to make standards in the legal business?

In this firetalk we will together with Proceedy address the following questions:

Is it possible to make standards in the legal business?

Why is it difficult to make IT standards in our business?

Why is it that different law firms make their own standards on different issues?

Would it be possible to make standards for the legal business by the legal business.

How could that be done. Or is it the “best practice” that wins?

Proceedy is a legal tech SaaS and they provide a platform for making overview in legal cases.
